ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia’s new and state-of-the-art national carrier, Riyadh Air, has officially announced the launch of direct flights to Pakistan. This major initiative is being hailed as a significant milestone in expanding and strengthening air connectivity between the two brotherly nations.
According to the airline’s management, regular flight operations to Pakistan will commence in August this year. The first phase will launch on August 14—coinciding with Pakistan’s Independence Day—offering daily non-stop flights connecting Riyadh and Islamabad.
Flight Schedule for Lahore and Passenger Convenience:
Direct flights to Lahore are scheduled to begin on August 18. Initially, the airline will operate three weekly flights on this route, with the potential to increase frequency in the future based on passenger demand.This new route established by Riyadh Air will provide a modern, convenient, and high-quality travel alternative for business travelers, tourists, Umrah pilgrims, and the Pakistani diaspora residing in the Gulf region.
Boosting Bilateral Trade, Tourism, and Economic Ties:
Aviation experts note that the launch of Riyadh Air operations in Pakistan will not only bring the people of both countries closer together but will also significantly boost Saudi investment, empower the business community, and promote bilateral trade and tourism.
