At an Iftar dinner in Maryland, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, emphasized that Pakistan’s primary focus in its relationship with the U.S. is strengthening economic ties.
He highlighted the long-standing bilateral relations between the two nations and underscored the vital role of the Pakistani-American community in Pakistan’s development.
The economic partnership between Pakistan and the U.S. is of paramount importance, Sheikh stated, reinforcing the need for stronger financial cooperation between the two countries.
Sajid Tarar, founder of Muslims for Trump, also addressed the gathering, praising the contributions of Pakistani-Americans in representing their homeland positively. Expressing concern over Pakistan’s challenges, he stressed the urgent need to tackle corruption to facilitate economic progress.
The event saw participation from key community leaders, including Jassi Singh, President of the American Sikh Community. Tarar lauded their presence, emphasizing that religious harmony and tolerance are essential for a thriving society.
Hosted by Maryland-based businessman Rauf Khan, the gathering also took a firm stance against terrorism. Participants strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack on a train in Pakistan, calling it a cowardly attempt to disrupt the country’s progress.
Terrorism cannot derail Pakistan’s journey towards development,attendees asserted, reaffirming their support for the nation’s resilience against such threats.
