Islamabad, January 23, 2025 – The Education Head of ICESCO (Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization), Dr. Khadija Tusi, visited the National Rahmatul lil Aalameen Wa Khatamun Nabiyyin Authority (NRKNA) today. Accompanied by Education ExpertICESCO, Mr. Waqas Afridi, Dr. Tusi engaged in a high-level meeting aimed at exploring areas of mutual interest and fostering collaboration between the two organizations.

The distinguished guests were warmly welcomed by Chairman NRKNA, Mr. Khurshid Nadeem, and Director General, Mr. Zafar Malik. They were given a comprehensive presentation on the history, mandate, and initiatives of the Authority by the Director Mr. Suhail Bin Aziz.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Khadija Tusi commended the remarkable progress made by the Rahmatul lil Aalameen Authority within a short span of time. “ICESCO is distinct in its commitment to holistic education, emphasizing spiritual values alongside numeracy and literacy. I am deeply impressed by the NRKNA’s Character Education initiative, which is truly the need of the hour,” Dr. Tusi remarked.

One of the key outcomes of the meeting was the decision to co-organize a regional conference in Pakistan in April 2025, focusing on Islamic values of character education. The conference will bring together representatives from regional Islamic countries, including Tajikistan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and other Muslim nations.

In addition, ICESCO will support the NRKNA in critical areassuch as teacher training, comparative analysis of curricula in Islamic countries, and strategies to address Islamophobia and misconceptions about Islam.

The visit concluded with the presentation of plaques and books as tokens of goodwill and commitment to future cooperation. Both organizations expressed their shared vision of nurturing future generations through values-based education and fostering unity among the Muslim world.
