Muslims of America and Sikhs of America presented Humanity award to Khader Fareed minister of health from Karnatka India . In the true spirit of interfaith harmony, Dr. Sajid Tarar, Founder and Chairman of Muslims of America, said that true leadership is not judged merely by public office, but by the positive impact one leaves on people’s lives.

He was addressing an Interfaith Harmony ceremony in Washington D.C.

Dr. Tarar said that public service becomes most meaningful when it is based on guidance, compassion, humility and a sincere commitment to improving the lives of others.

Addressing the ceremony, Chairman of Sikhs of America, Dr. Jasdeep Singh Jassi, emphasized the importance of recognizing the services of such individuals. He said that these are the people who rise above all differences and serve humanity.

Dr. Jassi further added that society becomes stronger when we appreciate those who dedicate their lives for others.

Member of the State Central Committee Baltimore, Ayesha Khan, also addressed the interfaith solidarity event.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, a Humanity Award was conferred on the Health Minister of the Indian state of Karnataka, Khader Fareed, on behalf of Muslims and Sikhs of America.

It is pertinent to mention that Khader Fareed is a Muslim and has been appointed as the Health Minister of Karnataka after defeating Narendra Modi’s party BJP five times.
