Faisal Akhter is one of those Pakistani artists who despite living in a dreamland like USA for last three decades has kept alive their roots.
Akhtar says although he lives in USA but his heart beats with Pakistan. To overcome these feeling of missing his homeland, he produces and promotes Pakistani music in America.
A true lover of music, Akhtar has recently released a romantic single Kamli composed by renowned singer and musician of Pakistan Ahmad Jahanzaib.
“The lyrics of love ballad Kamli reflects various emotions of love, in a beautiful way. The composition of song perfectly matches with its lyrics, each sur and raag filled with romance,” explained Akhtar.
Akhtar says Kamli is very close to his heart and so a video of song has also been released which according to the singer was completely shot at the different locations of Dubai.
“The video of Kamli would remind give one the feel of a Bollywood song,” Akhtar added.
Faisal is very enthusiastic about his upcoming song, which is produced by Sufi Score. Sufi Score is a renowned platform for musicians and Faisal considers it an honour to sing for it.
Faisal Akhtar mostly do the romantic songs as he believes that romance keeps us move forward in life. Moreover he has faith in the romantic poetry of subcontinent poetry that has ruled the heart of people for centuries and is still lives and loved in the region.
Faisal has been performing in different states of USA for last 25 years on different occasions like Pakistan Day and other events.
He said that there was a huge demand and fondness of Pakistani music in America that is why concerts of Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Atif Aslam, Ali Zafar, Ustad Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan and Sajjad Ali are organised on a very big scale.
Akhtar loves Pakistani film music, whether it is golden age of cinema or Lollywood. According to him, film music reflects the Pakistani elements the most. Our old filmy song are loved and sung through generations and are popular in masses even today.
He has released dozens of original romantic and sufi (spiritual) songs. Among them the most popular one was Jane Walay, which has more than one million views on YouTube. His another popular songs are Ishara and Mehrban. The later one was shot on different locations of Turkey.
Besides filmy music Faisal has sung in other genres as well like bhangra and sufi. He can easily sing in Urdu, Punjabi, Saraiki, Sindhi, Balochi and English.

Faisal is expected to visit Karachi in September this year to participate in a big concert. He has many beautiful memories of Karachi from the days he spent in the city. He wish to see Karachi in its good old days.
