Five people arrested for illegally hunting the endangered snow leopard in Nagar district of Gilgit Baltistan. 10 million rupees fined by magistrate wildlife. According to a press release issued by the wildlife department they were informed by an informer about the illegal hunting of snow leopard in anger.
Department collected the data from social media and other means to arrest the culprit. During investigation accused Mohammad Saleem identified 4 more people involved in illegal hunting of snow leopard, two of them were stuffers. After the trial under the GB wildlife act 1985 District magistrate sent 5 people behind the bars. The main culprits Saleem and malik were fined 5 million rupees each and two years jail. Two staffers were jailed for one year and one a person for one month.
