One purpose of establishing South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) was to resolve regional disputes of member member countries, but this organization has failed to achieve its purpose. The biggest reason for its failure is India, which considers itself[India] as a big country and its frequent interference in the matters of other countries of the organization.
Small countries around India are afraid of its aggression and power, and they avoid its opposition. For which, this organization seems to fail to solve any problem among SAARC countries.
The basic purpose of this forum was to resolve the issues amicably among the member states .If this organization is only to protect India’s interests, then it is better to end this forum.
If SAAR countries want to make it an effective organization, then they will have to work together to pull out it from the influence of India. There should be no discrimination among big or small countries. Until, influence of India persists on SAARC, it cannot be an effective and vibrant organization.
