Pearl Continental Hotel Karachi hosted a Barbeque Food Festival last week at its Chandni Restaurant, known for it scrumptious and authentic Pakistani cuisine. The glass walled rooftop of restaurant which gives a massive city view with a blend of eastern music just add in feast to the diners.
The five day festival served wide variety of barbecue dishes made out of fish, chicken, beef , mutton and even chees with intersting and unique falvours and names like; Mutton Hunzai Kabab, Charagh Chatkhara Boti, Murgh Boti Tikka, Charcoal Batair (quill) on Steak, Chat Patay Fish Steak, Tandoori Paneer Tikka, and barbeque Karahi Chicken. These luscious and sizzling barbequed dishes accompanied a large salad bar and almost all kinds of chutneys and achaars (pickles). A special live naan corner was also there where hot from the oven naans were served to complete the tradition of kabab with naan. The menu did not end with only the barbeque items but it also had restaurant’s trademark dishes like Katakat, Chicken Polao, Mutton Paya, Roghan Josh, and special Daal and Sabzi with chawal. Apart from the main course, the appetizing hot soups were also served on the tables and a tempting desert bar from ice creams to mousses, and to kheer to gulab jaman delighted the attendees to complete their meals. The palatable treat ended with having cardamom/ ginger/mint green tea and a meetha pan.
The visit to PC Barbeque food festival was a wonderful experience of food and a delicious ambience alike.
