Hina Shahnawaz was the sole bread-winner in a family with no male adults alive, cousin killed her
KOHAT: A 27-year-old woman named Hina Shahnwaz was allegedly gunned down by her cousin Mehboob Alam for working and earning a living for her family. Hina was the only bread-winner in a family with no male adults alive.
According to details, Hina Shahnawaz was the most educated lady of her family and was working for an NGO in Kohat for Rs 80,000. Her cousin did not approve of her job despite the fact that the lady was the only one earning for her family. Hina’s father and brother had died, and it was when her father was diagnosed with cancer that she had started working. Her brother was later gunned down in another petty quarrel reportedly.
Hina was M. Phil. and had not only been supporting her ailing mother but also the family of her slain brother. She received four bullets in her chest last Friday and it was only through social media that people learned of her tragic murder.
Alam fled after allegedly killing his cousin. District Police Officer (DPO) of Kohat Javed Iqbal said that the police had conducted search operations in various areas of the city to find him. However, the alleged murder still remains at large.
