LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday declined to hold a meeting with Najam Sethi
According to media reports, Najam Sethi had been trying to hold meeting with Prime Minister Sharif and was in contact with PM House officials from the past four days.
The prime minister politely excused Sethi’s request for the meeting. “I will let you know whenever I get time,” the prime minister responded to the request.
There had also been speculations that Chairman Shaharyar Khan had also requested to meet PM Sharif.
Sources pointed out that Najam Sethi wanted to brief the Nawaz Sharif about the cricket team heart-wrenching performance in World Twenty2 and Asia Cup.
Yesterday, Waqar Younis, also held meeting with the Federal Minister Riaz Prizada and requested the government’s intervention in PCB’s affairs
Younis was enraged after his confidential report on team’s performance in World Twenty20 was share with media.
In his report, Younis was highly critical of Shahid Afridi, Umar Akmal and Ahmed Shehzad.
