Islamic law is ornamented with all needs and requirements of nature, guarantor of all human values; it leads to the way of unity, solidarity and harmony.
These views were shared by Dr. Umar Faruq Abdullah (Waymann-Landgraf), while speaking at International Islamic University (IIUI) on “Islam and its Cultural Imperative”. A lecture organized by Student’s Advisor Office Female Campus IIUI. Dr. Umar Faruq embraced Islam in 1970 and devoted his life for Islam; he is an expert of English literature, modern history and Islamic law as well. Dr. Masoom Yasinzai Rector IIUI, Dr. Ahemd Yousif Al-Draiweesh President IIUI, Dr. Samina Malik Director Female Campus, Dr. Najeeba Arif Student Adviser Female, Deans, Director and large number of students attended the lecture.
Dr. Umar said that miscreants and conspirators have always created doubts to disrupt the fine fabric of Islam and want to create discord among the nations. He was of the view that Islam beautifies the moralities, ethics and human values.
Dr. Umar further said Islamic Law has been decorated with all human requirements, needs and necessities, provides best rationales to seek the solutions of tangled issues. “Islam has very unique and beautiful art which develops fine aesthetic sense which left no need to follow others”, he added.
Dr. Umar said that Pakistan is precious asset of Muslim Ummah, Muslims of the world generously see Pakistan as their potential leader. He said that Muslims must be confident and need to make their faith firm, as enemies of Islam always try to create circumstances to create chaos through rumors, doubts and skepticism.
Dr. Umar urged participants to refrain from misunderstanding and misconceptions with sincerity and honesty. Dr. Masoom that said Islam has devised strategies to tackle every contemporary challenge with exact compatibility to time. “Islam presents finest model to be followed to take up contemporary challenges”, he said.
Rector IIUI further was of the view that widening gap between theory and practice should be bridged by dealing routine matter with Islamic injunctions.
Dr. Al-Draiweesh thanked Dr. Umar for sparing his precious time to share his reflections with students and highly appreciated the efforts and contributions for the cause of Islam. He said Islam values human moralities which resulted that Islamic culture has influenced every society living in all corners of world.
