ISLAMABAD: The marketing companies reduced on Saturday prices of liquified petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs 15 per kg following decline in its price in international market. Price of domestic cylinder was decreased by Rs 170 and commercial cylinder by Rs 680, said LPG Distributors Association Chairman Muhammad Irfan Khokhar. Giving details, he said that in Karachi, one kg LPG would be sold at Rs 70 kg per kg and the domestic cylinder will be available at Rs 840 domestic.
He said that the prices of domestic cylinder in Lahore, Kasur, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Faisalabad, Jehlum, Sahiwal, Sialkot, Peshawar, Daska would be Rs 780 and one kg LPG would be sold at Rs 65 per kg, while the price of one kg LPG has been fixed at Rs 80 in Rahim Yar Khan, Sadqabad, Hyderabad, Attock, Mirpur. In Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Abbotabad, Muzafarabad, Bagh, Fata, Kotli, Tando Muhammad Khan, Mirpur Khas, Umarkot, Nawabshah, Thata, Dado, Jamshero, Shikarpur, LPG would be sold at Rs 85 kg. Meanwhile, Rs 100 has been fixed for one kg LPG in Gilgit Balistan, Murree, Nathiagali and Balakot. Welcoming the decrease in LPG prices, Irfan Khokhar lauded the efforts of Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, saying that the prices decreased due to the good policies of the present government.
