The Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Grazia Pakistan, Zahraa Saifullah stated: “Grazia is a breath of fresh air that our local publishing industry needs right now. Pakistan’s fashion industry is booming and Grazia is going to provide an amazing platform to nurture its growth. We plan to show the fun, creative side of Pakistani fashion to the world – explore new avenues by creating content like it has never been done before.”
Talking exclusively to IBC, Zahraa Saifullah replied enthusiastically to the following questions
IBC: What Grazia brings to Pakistan as two other international monthlies ‘Hello!’ and ‘OK’ are already there?
Two other international franchises Hello and OK are lifestyle magazines for a niche class. They talk about the designer brands of clothing, cosmetic and accessories and publish interviews of celebrities and their styles. But Grazia is complete fashion and style magazine, catering the middle class women of the country. We will cover not only the high-end and high street brands and products, but also give more stuff to people like how a working woman can prepare or style herself in 10 minutes for office or a party. It is more connected to common women and their needs.
IBC: What difference Grazia make to the Pakistan Fashion Industry?
Two other major international publications Hello and Ok are lifestyle and celebrity magazines, but in Grazia we will cover more about the latest trends in fashion. Second thing is that most of the fashion magazines in Pakistan are publishing the paid shoots of designers, where we have decided to do editorial shoots on editorial decisions, which can make Grazia really different in the look, content and purpose.
IBC: What Grazia can import and export in and out of Pakistan?
We are giving a section to the latest international fashion in our magazine like new trends in clothing, makeup, styling and accessories in the world. Also, we will cover some high street brands like Mango, Next and others to hit the upper middle and middle class of Pakistan. On other way, we can promote our designers by sharing them in Grazia published in other countries of the world. In hello, we are already sending our fashion shoots and information to other parts like UK and India, which are liked and appreciated by people there.
