The Magnum Chocolate Party 2016 was held at Karachi with its full fervor and uniqueness. The Belgian brand is throwing this party of high indulgence and style since last year, which now has become an annual event.
It all started with a theatre show back in 2012 and moved on to an inspired fashion show in 2015.
This years’ Magnum Chocolate Party was an inspiration from the art movement of Surrealism, centering on Salvador Dali and extending its collaboration with Chocolate, Art, Dance and Fashion.
Started with a chocolate carpet and backdrop with pictures of magnum bars, it moved to the foyer decorated with paintings, sculptures and art installations curated surrealistically by Smeera Raja of Canvas Art Gallery. The main stage was also a piece of art where the show started with the dramatic performance prepared by ace choreographer Wahab Shah. The spice and surprise of the night was superstar Ali Zafar’ s appearance in a Surrealistic act in which he also showed his original roots and drew a sketch.
The fashion presentation was comprised of surrealist style haute couture from the gurus of fashion industry of Pakistan i.e. Sahmaeel Ansari, Neelofer Shahid, Ali Xeeshan and Faraz Manan, all inspired by Belgian chocolate and its indulgence.
All guests were attracted by the chocolate bar, where they were treated with Magnum chocolate bar and other chocolate servings.
Speaking about the Magnum Chocoalte Party 2016, Farheen Salaman, Director Foods and Refreshments, Unilever Pakistan said, “With the Magnum Chocolate Party, we are delighted to draw inspiration from art to push the creative boundaries between indulgence, art, fashion and chocolate.”
