The civil-military leadership vowed on Tuesday to not allow hostile intelligence agencies and their facilitators foment terrorism inside Pakistan, said a statement released by the military’s media wing Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
At a high-level civil-military meeting held at the GHQ on Tuesday, the leaders discussed issues relating to national security while taking cognisance of ongoing regional developments and inimical designs against the stability and prosperity of the country.
The meeting was attended by Army chief General Raheel Sharif, DG Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and other senior civil and military officials.
Federal Ministers Khawaja Asif, Ishaq Dar, Naitonal Security Adviser Sartaj Aziz and Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi and Foreign Secretary attended the meeting.
Earlier on Monday, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar said some countries were conspiring against the CPEC, but vowed that no world power would be able to sabotage the project.
