Security agencies have arrested an alleged officer of the Indian Intelligence Agency RAW from Balochistan, Waqt News reported. The name of the man suspected to be a RAW agent is Gul Bhooshan Yadav. He is believed to be a serving officer of the Indian intelligence agency.
According to media sources the arrested man has been transferred to an unknown place.
“He is an Indian Navy Officer, who later on was picked for RAW,” a source said.
According to reports Yadav was planning a major attack on sensitive sites in Balochistan. “He was sent with two special tasks; one was to contact with sectarian militant organizations and to spread sectarianism in Pakistan,” another source said.
Balochistan Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti confirmed the news of the Indian spy’s arrest from South Balochistan.
“It proves Indian involvement in Balochistan”, he said adding that RAW is sponsoring terrorism and in Balochistan.
Last year Bugti had accused RAW, and Afghan intelligence agency NDS, of funding and training Baloch Republican Army (BRA) militants, and other separatist outfits.
While talking to the Waqt News, Bugti said that RAW had been responsible for the attack on him as well.
“I congratulate Pakistan Army and FC for this successful operation,” he said.
Pakistan has accused India over insurgency in Balochistan on several occasions. According to Pakistani government Indian Intelligence service provide financial and weaponry support to the Baloch insurgents from Afghan territory. Pakistani government is also believed to have provided proofs regarding Baloch separatist leader Brahamdagh Bugti living in Indian consulates in Afghanistan, with complete backing of RAW.
