ISLAMABAD: Federal interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan in an important meeting with prime minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif today briefed him regarding security issue on the Pakistan cricket team’s tour of India.
The national cricket team has to tour India for participating in the forthcoming Twenty20 World Cup 2016.
The prime minister said that the decision to send the cricket team to India would be made only after receiving the security team’s report.
During the meeting, Nawaz Sharif also issued directives to keep in touch with the Pakistan High Commission in India for fool-proof security arrangements for the team.
The prime minister has asked the Pakistan Cricket Board to submit a report on the poor performance of the national team.
